China's COPPER consumption accounts for more than 30% of all the global refined copper based only on their own reported usage data, could it be higher?  I wonder if the COPPER inventories (currently 5 days of ready supply) could tighten up and push prices higher with the ever increasing demands being made on this valuable industrial base metal? 

To produce 1oz of Gold requires 38 manhours and enough electricity to maintain a large house for 10 days. Neither Gold nor Silver can be created out of thin air.

Fiat money always brings INFLATION:
Politicians within government like to inflate the money supply because it gives its citizens the illusion of prosperity and its declared monied value is much greater than the cost of producing the fiat paper.  It cost the treasury about 4 cents to produce either a $1 bill or a $100 bill in fiat money.  They can't do the same with real money being produced from gold or silver.
 
Check you Dictionary, in mine the word "FIAT MONEY" (paper currency made legal tender by the decree of the government, but not based on or convertible into coin) comes just above the word "FIB" (to tell a lie).

The U.S. Government is projected to have a 1.6 TRILLION Dollar deficit in 2010 (on top of our existing 13+ TRILLION Dollar DEBT that grows larger every second), and if  YOU went out and spent One U.S. Fiat Dollar every second it would take you MORE than 31,000 years to spend ONE TRILLION Dollars, how can anyone think the U.S. economy is getting healthier when we are in so much DEBT?

China with almost 1.4 Billion people (622 million in urban areas) is estimated by 2025 to have 221 cities with 1 million people or more, and in India with 1.2 Billion people (340 million in urban areas) is estimated by 2030 to have 68 cities with 1 million or more.  These people and all other people of developing nations aspire to have what we already have in the United States and Europe, that is the ease of travel (cars / mass transit), home / cell phones, electricity, central plumbing, heating and air conditioning, consumer electronics and home appliances, all which will place a major squeeze on Copper and other Base Metals.  Copper hit its all time high of $4.08 per pound  in April 2008, could we see a new high coming latter this year or next?
