Copper (the RED METAL) is one of the most versatile and durable metals on Earth and has been used by man for 10,000 years.  It is an efficient conductor of electricity.  It is flexible and strong and doesn't corrode easily.  It is used in nearly every major industry of the world: transportation accounts for 13% of annual usage, engineering, machinery and equipment account for 12%, electrical and electronic products account for 25%, building and construction account for 40%, and consumer and general usage accounts for the remaining 10%.

Did you know that in 2009, about 15,800,000 metric tons of Copper were mined worldwide (leaving estimated reserves of 540,000,000 metric tons).  In 2009, about 21,400 metric tons of Silver were mines worldwide (leaving estimated reserves of 400,000 metric tons).  So that's about 738 ounces of Copper mined for every 1 ounce of Silver (assuming TROY ounces are used for both).  That means there are estimated to be 1,350 ounces of Copper reserves for every 1 ounce of Silver reserves.  That gives us worldwide about 34 years worth of Copper reserves and about 18 years of Silver reserves.
This data comes from the United States Mineral Commodity Summaries for 2010.

Currently, Japan consumes about 26.5 lbs of Copper per capita.  North America
consumes just over 22 lbs per capita and Europe just under 20 lbs per capita.  However, the massive populations in China, India, Eastern Europe and South America (over 5 Billion people) are all still consuming less than 4.5 lbs per capita.

What will happen to the Copper price when the these developing nations demand 5 to 6 times more per capita?  It will probably explode in price (BULLISH).  Plus due to the fact that there has not been a new significant mine discovery in nearly 100 years.  Demand (consumption) is constantly exceeding (last 4 years) known Supply sources of Copper and the question of perhaps Aluminum replacing Copper is not likely.  Both metals are needed in developing nations around the world and if you look at the Aluminum charts you will see it is going up along with all the other base metals and the rest of the commodities group.  Base Metals could percentage wise grow faster than the Precious Metals.

Research the Base Metals for yourself, look for alternatives to the FIAT money system.

The Copper Bars that we BUY from our supplier and then offer for SELL are considered "Wrought Copper Bars" and range from C10100 to C11000 certified by professional and ISO certified companies.  Wrought Copper is copper that has been cast and then rolled into plate and sheet, extruded tube, pipe, rod, bar and forged blanks (not some scrap melted COPPER wiring or plumbing pipe that has been poured with other alloys still in it).

United States COPPER coin (.01 Cent) FACTS ~~ PURE COPPER WEIGHT

It takes Pre 1982 uncirculated (NO WEAR) U.S. Lincoln Cents 1909 -1981 (except the 1943 P-D-S which were made of a Zinc Coated Steel)1982 had the change in the composition and you have to weigh each coin to determine the Copper / Zinc mixture.
Copper being a Base Metal its normal to weigh it by using Avoidupois (AVDP or AV) pounds (16oz) or 453.59237 grams (g)
Total weight of pre 1982 Cent is 3.11 grams of which 95% is pure Copper and 5% is
pure Zinc.
3.11g * 95% = 2.9545 g pure Copper per coin.
Therefore, if you divide 453.59237 / 2.9545 = 153.52933322 or 154 pre 1982 Cents to equal 1 lb AV pure Copper  or 153.525933322 / 16 = 9.59537083262 or a little more than 9 cents to equal 1 oz AV pure Copper
If you want to convert to Troy (t) weight change the math to 373.2417216 grams (g) = 1 Troy lb or 12 Troy ounces (31.1034768 g to 1 troy ounce), then take 373.2417216 / 2.9545 = 126.329910847 or 126 pre 1982 Cents to equal 1 lb Troy pure Copper or 126.329910847 / 12 = 10.5274932058 or a littler more than 10 cents to equal  1 oz Troy pure Copper.
10.5 cents = 1 Troy oz pure Copper
126 cents = 1 Troy lb (12oz) pure Copper

9.6
cents = 1 AV oz pure Copper
154 cents = 1 AV lb (16 oz) pure Copper

                              AND
     It takes
1983 to Date uncirculated (NO WEAR) U.S. Lincoln Cents
:
Total weight of 1983 to Date Cent is 2.5 grams of which 2.5% is pure Copper and 97.5% is pure Zinc.   2.5 * 2.5% = .0625g pure Copper per coin
     Therefore, if you divide 453.59237 / .0625 = 7257.47792 or
7257 Cents to equal 1 AV lb pure Copper or 7257.47792 / 16 = 453.59237 or a little more than 453 Cents to equal 1 oz AV pure Copper

     Troy weight convert 373.2417216 g / .0625 = 5971.8675456 or 5971 Cents to equal 1 Troy lb pure Copper or 5971.8675456 / 12 = 497.6556288 or a little more than 497
Cents to equal 1 Troy oz pure Copper
497 cents = 1 Troy oz pure Copper
5971 cents = 1 Troy lb (12 oz) pure Copper
453 cents = 1 AV oz pure Copper
7257
cents = 1 AV lb (16 oz) pure Copper
